PASSIONATE ABOUT THE IMPACT OF SPORTS…
Growing up in Sheffield, England, Lizzie always found a way onto the pitch, even begging her dad to track down a girls' team she could join. She eventually earned a spot in the Sheffield Wednesday Ladies system. Inspired by Bend It Like Beckham, she took the leap to America and found her way to playing at St. Leo University in Florida, where earned her degree in Marketing and eventually an MBA.
Lizzie's professional path was not linear and that was intentional. She created opportunities at every stop by spotting voids and stepping into them, whether that meant taking on a league's sports betting program or building a DEI initiative from the ground up. "I'm not really a specialist in anything," she says and that's her superpower.
Now leading marketing at USRowing, Lizzie found a home at the intersection of nonprofits and sports. "I'm all about the underlying impact that sports can have. That's the beautiful thing about it - it benefits your wellness, mental health, and opens doors for people to find community."
BEYOND THE EVENTS:
As a leader, Lizzie prioritizes putting the human being first. She believes in bringing perspective to what she does by understanding, and communicating, what’s important and when it’s important to share.
She believes in bringing perspective to the work that she does, leading with curiosity, and most importantly understanding that there's more to life than the 9-5 grind.
When she and her wife aren’t busy parenting their two young children, Lizzie enjoys puzzles, going to the gym, and the hottest show on Netflix.
